On July 25th, 2018, the Senate HELP (Health, Education, Labor, and Pension) Committee unanimously passed the Action for Dental Health Act. In the coming weeks, the Act will be voted on in the Senate.
With the passage of the Action for Dental Health Act, the ADA hopes the legislation will lead to: Improving oral health education and dental disease prevention.Reducing the use of emergency rooms for dental care.Helping patients establish dental homes.Reducing barriers, including language barriers and cultural barriers, to receiving care.Facilitating dental care to nursing home residents.To learn more about the Action for Dental Health Act please read the ADA News story here Interested in taking action?
