As the spring semester begins to pick up, it’s important to establish good study habits early on in order to avoid burnout and ensure success. Whether you are finishing up your last few didactic classes, studying for boards, or looking for a place to sit down and read, coffee shops are a great alternative to the traditional classroom! When choosing a study spot, my priority is to find a place with enough space to get my work done, a diverse coffee menu (that offers great pastries too!), and an environment that isn’t too noisy or distracting. Here are a few of my favorite spots to study around the Phoenix area!
1. Provision
Calling all plant lovers! If you enjoy studying near plants, look no further. This coffee shop has several beautiful plant walls that will enhance your concentration and productivity! Whether you’re an early bird or a night owl, this shop is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner so you can get your study on anytime you please!
2. Peixoto
With a location in Gilbert and in Chandler, you can choose however close or far you want to travel to study at this cozy shop! If you are looking to try out a new drink, this menu takes the cake for seasonal drinks. Whether it’s a classic latte or a funky cold brew, these drinks are the perfect addition to a solid study session.
3. Press Coffee
Although there are several locations scattered across the Phoenix area, this modern coffee shop is one of my Gilbert favorites. With an open layout, wide tables and booths, and several seats to choose from, this environment is very welcoming!
4. Starbucks
Starbucks is always a safe option - there are several locations just a few minutes away from campus and their menu has something for everyone. Customizable drinks, classic favorites, and cake pops, there is no doubt you will find the perfect study snack! Don’t forget to download the starbucks app to get your stars!
Happy studying!
